It is likely that the company will stop producing Volkswagen sedan and station wagon Passat, when the production receive a new midsize sedan. Such a development could take place, beginning in 2011. The new version will be more than Passat, but will have a lower cost.

Volkswagen, however, remains to be determined, to stop production completely or Passat, for example, to stop producing it in the United States and in Europe to leave everything still.
